Oooops!
Hi,
I’m sorry to wear you out with so many emails.
On Monday I sent you an email with a survey form
with questions about what pricing for the fertility
handbook.
It probably didn’t make sense why I would want to
know that. Well … there actually two questions to that
survey but I absent mindedly sent it out with one.
Sorry about that.
Could you indulge me one last time and fill out this
survey with the missing question from Monday. It’s
very simple and will only take a minute.
Thank you soooo much!

hi
im currently having trouble with endometriosis and IVF as i have bad scarring on my womb area and blocked fallopian tubes. i am currently doing a longer cycle with IVF so any tips would be good.
Angela
Hi Angela,
Endometriosis is an autoimmune disorder, which means the immune system peceives parts of own own body as foreign and thereby tries to neutralize it. The result is inflammation and the scarring you talked about.
I’m not an MD, so you have to take this with a grain of salt, but my read on autoimmune disorders is that it comes about as a result of all of the impurities associated with diet and lifestyle of Western life. Eg., the artificial flavoring and coloring in processed food (processed being anything that is not fresh and is packages in a can, jar, or plastic), artificial ingredients like shortening used for deep frying, margerine used for cooking, cigarette smoke, pollution in the air, recycled air in office buildings, the list goes on. When you start pating attention to it, it’s very hard to avoid any of these.
The effect they have in our bodies is to tip the free radical balance into a state of excess (free radicals do have a positive use in our body, but in excess they cause damage) and they start damaging molecules, damaging DNA, causing mutated unusable proteins to be created, and more. When the body senses something that shouldn’t be there, like a protein it doesn’t recognise, it signals white blood cells to attack and the process of inflammation begins.
If you have Endometriosis, the very first step would be to clean up your diet. Eliminate all processed foods. Focus on providing your body with the nutrition it needs with “clean” fresh food. Eliminate saturated fats, replace red meat with fish and white meat, lots of fruit and vegetables, whole grain bread fresh baked.
Also started exercising daily, a brisk 30 minute walk is fine. But you need to do it.
In the case of Endometriosis there isn’t really any treatment provided by Western medicine that effectively addresses it. You may want to book an appointment with an acupuncturist to get their perspective. In Eastern medicine the disorder we call Endometriosis is a condition caused by ‘stagnation of the blood’, and getting acupuncture to remove the blockages that are causing the ‘stagnation’ can be very effective.
If you are currently in the IVF process, acupuncture is proving itself more and more to be a very effective complement to IFV and does a lot to support a successful outcome. I recommend you talk to your RE about acupuncture and also look for some local acupuncturists, preferably those who specialize in fertility.
I hope this has helped Angela. Stay positive, and realise there is nothing wrong with you. You just need to make you body a healthy environment for conception to take place.
Your friend,
Helene
